She vowed that she was going to have a low-key New Year's Eve, having a quiet dinner with friends.
But it seems that Lindsay Lohan's good intentions didn't stretch to New Year's Day as she partied into the early hours of Wednesday morning, returning to her London hotel with a mystery man in tow.
Although she was rumoured to have been dating The Wanted's Max George, it seems that Lindsay was more interested in meeting new people as she left Boujis at 3.30am with a new friend.

Trying to keep a low profile, the flame-haired party girl hopped into a taxi on her own as she left the Kensington club, but the floppy-haired man who she'd been spotted chatting to arrived at her hotel just moments after she did.
The 26-year-old, who is rumoured to be taking part in this year's Celebrity Big Brother, wore a typically eclectic outfit for her night out on the town, going bare-legged in a thigh-skimming white dress.
In an outfit similar to one she'd stepped out in the night before, the actress glammed up her look with towering stiletto shoes and a black fur coat.
In a strange twist to her look, Lindsay added a striped furry hat that she pulled down over her mop of poker straight red hair as she made her way out of the club.

Perhaps in a bid to rehydrate before the night was out, the Liz & Dick star carried two small bottles of mineral water as she jumped into the car and whizzed home.
The actress hopped out when she got to The Dorchester, where she's been staying for the past few nights, going in alone in a bid to throw onlookers off of the scent.
But her mystery friend wasn't easy to miss as he walked in just a few minutes after Lindsay, wearing a black fedora hat with a small red feather sticking out of it.

The fashionably-dressed young man looked completely different to beefy Max, wearing his blue trousers rolled up to reveal red patent brogues and yellow socks.
Although it's not known why Lindsay spent the new year in the UK, seeing as previously rumoured beau Max was spending it in New York, it seems that she'd been making the most of it.
Whether or not she's signed up for Big Brother, she has to be back in the US by the 15th for a court appearance after her probation was revoked earlier this month.
And it seems that her father, Michael Lohan is not impressed with his daughter's partying in London, after she was spotted with mum Dina.
'Maybe instead of checking into hotels and night clubs in London, Mommy Dearest and daughter should have checked into rehab together -- but then again, neither of them have alcohol or drug problems!' he added.

While she was partying in the UK, Lindsay hit US screens in an episode of Million Dollar decorators, in which designer Kathryn Ireland makes over her home.
Lindsay showed off her new pad to the cameras but quickly ditched the designer in a showroom after being pursued by photographers.
Although producers spent $200,000 doing up her home, Lindsay failed to show up for the finale of the show, which features the big reveal.
